Challenge
Our primary goal was finding the "sweet spot" between two extremes: the raw, street-level energy of the Clippers brand and the polished, high-tech nature of the venue. Furthermore, we had to ideate a dual-identity UI. The app needed the flexibility to pivot between a "Clipper-centric" theme and a neutral, "Event Mode" for concerts and shows, all while maintaining a consistent user experience.
Results
The redesign fundamentally changed fan interaction, successfully powering the Intuit Dome’s "Zoom Thru" commerce and contributing to retail speeds 4 to 8 times faster than industry standards. We created a brand-flexible system that resonates with 400,000+ fans. The result is a world-class digital gateway that feels deeply connected with the Clippers Nation.

Stakeholders Alignment
Conducted multiple sessions to understand the fandom context and spirit and translate stakeholder vision into a visual strategy.
Visual Exploration
Created two different mood-boards and style tiles to identify the perfect look and feel that connected with the Clippers Nation.
North Star Concepting
Explored the Home Screen concept design, establishing the UI language, imagery, typography and components that would guide the rest of the project.
Interface Design
Once the style was approved, we splatted into different pods to craft the different flows (authentication, ticketing, etc.) and from there feed and document the design system.
